Best place in this area to buy any sort of outdoor clothing and equipment. Staff is helpful and well trained, and typically has personal experience with the products. Very good selection, e.g. I wanted a mid weight jacket and they offered several jackets from different manufacturers (not just REI). My first stop for anything they sell.
REI is great place to shop for outdoor sporting activities. Hiking, biking, camping, kayaking or whatever outdoor sport you enjoy, REI will most likely have what you're looking for and then some. From equipment to clothing to books, REI has it both in their stores or online. They have an excellent dividend program too. You get a percentage of what you spend as a credit for future purchases. My only complaints are they tend to be on the pricey side and it's sometimes difficult to find someone to help with your purchase. I highly recommend shopping at REI.
Great customer service, so kind and helpful and a really knowledgeable staff. If they don't know the answer the person working with you will help find it out for you. Went there the day after Christmas expecting the usual chaos and even though it was sort busy the staff was willing to answer every question and do it with a smile on the face. Great store for everything hiking , camping, kyaking. Some of available items : backpacks, socks ,gloves, snowshoes. A co-op membership is available which allows discounts on items but also on lift tickets to many ski areas in New England. If your a lover of outdoor activities this is a must!
I needed hiking boots for a week trip to Chile. The staff was patient and helpful. Good selection and nice environment to try things. Changing rooms are awkwardly dark.
